“Displaced Attire Misplaced Desire” | Curatorial Note
More than being the curator in this episode, I would like to think of myself as a 'medium' where the different sorts of an interpersonal riddle can overlap with each other in a fluid manner. My initial interest at this beginning phase is to nurture the cross-dialogue interactions around the understanding of “Desire” and the “misplacement” of that, as the reflection of not being acknowledged in the context of present and future womynhood. The cultural concept, perception of ethnicity, social positioning, ancestral legacy, the inter-personal identity etc are the only few among the larger pool of argument that I am trying refer here through “Attire”...

Responsive Introduction

Date: 11.08.20-15.08.20 It was a new trial to readjust our mind-space again in a particular mode where the idea of communication is not only about following conventional structural utility but as well as it is a common need for establishing the plural self in front of the larger social bodies. In 4 days, we exposed the new cultural meaning of the coexisting formal/informal phrases (text + keywords +syntax +pronunciations. We were curious to explore with all participants the concept of 'proxemics' in the context of 'time-space-self & other', we tried re-explore our mundane critical expression more from an interpersonal perspective. Exploration of Progressive Impression

Platform: Public Account : Instagram Date: 15.08.20-17.09.20 Does Desires changes with Attire or Attire can change Desires? If you think deeply you may feel that both are somehow linked with your own being. And if both of them are not in its own place then your being comes to rescue and put things where it actually belongs. If you look at the creations of the four artists from this episode, you will feel that their medium of expression may differ but they share the same story of their positioning in life and society. The dots, the turns, the elevations… all come to play when you witness the inter trajectory of the visual dialogue.

The conversation between the moderator and the four artists in this second episode of womyn at work explored dimensions of the thought process of four artists and also how they define their surrounding, ancestry, roots, existence and social image. In other words, it explores the displaces and misplaced desires and attires through intensive stories from all the artists at one platform.
